Retired Colonel Patricia Blassie Speaks to the DWC

Colonel Patricia Blassie, USAF Retired, gave a moving account of her hero brother 1st Lt. Michael Blassie’s life and death during the Vietnam War.

She went into depth about how he was placed in the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the area designated for the Air Force, how the family came to know it was him, and how they eventually brought his remains home and laid him to rest.
