We're so glad you've joined us! We have such fun and find so much fulfillment helping our community. We're sure you will feel the same as well. We are a diverse group of women brought together by our desire to meet new people and participate in fun activities as well as our shared sense of commitment to help others. Our goals are simple... enjoy each other's company while finding ways to support the needs of a growing Northwest Florida community. We support the community in several ways including: * CALM (Crisis Aid for Littles and Moms), which offers transitional housing and life skills training to mothers and children in crisis situations through CALM House and CALM Village. CALM Village is a one-year independent living program with affordable fees, designed for working singlemothers with children in childcare or school. * The Destin Woman's Club Assistance Fund, which offers assistance to area families in need. * Support to other local charities, including The Fisher House (which provides housing facilities for injured soldiers and their families) and a perpetuating Scholarship Fund at Northwest Florida State College for qualifying women striving to re-enter today's competitive workforce. This is a non-profit organization and is not funded by the military. Come join our dynamic group of women today! --- ## Page: Charities We Support **URL:** https://destinwomansclub.org/our-charities/ The activities the Destin Woman's Club organizes and participates in benefit the following various local charities: **CALM Organization (Crisis Aid for Littles and Moms)** Once every two years the DWC membership chooses a non-profit organization to be the recipient of our fundraising efforts for two years. In 2025, the DWC voted for CALM Organization. Established in 2017, CALM offers transitional housing and life skills training to mothers and their children in crisis situations. They assist moms from poverty to self-sustainment and have helped many families (over 65 moms and 90 kids). **The DWC Assistance Fund** Formally known as the Mary Kirkpatrick Assistance Fund, this fund serves to aid and assist the needy in our area. It seeks to fill the gap between public assistance and self-sufficiency. The DWC provides help to needy families that includes grocery store/gas/department store gift cards and full or partial payment of rent, utilities, medical expenses, or child care. The fund also helps provide food during holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas in conjunction with other local charities. **Fisher House** In recognition of the special sacrifices of wounded or ill service members and their families, the Fisher House Foundation donates "comfort homes" so that families may face medical crisis together. --- ## Page: Our Sponsors **URL:** https://destinwomansclub.org/our-sponsors/ We are so very grateful to those who support our organization through sponsorship and volunteerism. Signup is required by the Friday at 8 PM before the meeting. **Standard Meeting Schedule:** * Check-In Time Begins at 10:45 AM * Social Time 11:00 – 11:30 AM * Program & Speaker 11:30 – 12:00 PM Each luncheon features a catered menu, community updates, and a guest speaker relevant to our local area, such as local non-profit leaders, community protectors (like SAFE in the Panhandle), and local business owners. --- ## Page: DWC Newsletter Information **URL:** https://destinwomansclub.org/dwc-newsletter/ The Destin Woman's Club publishes a monthly newsletter to keep our members and the community informed.
