The Destin Woman's Club is a
diverse group of women brought together by our desire to
meet new people, participate in fun activities and our
shared sense of commitment to helping others.
Our goals are simple...enjoy each others company while
finding ways to support the needs of a growing community.
We support the community in several ways including a
perpetuating Scholarship Fund at Northwest Florida State College
for qualifying women who strive to re-enter today’s
competitive workforce; the Family Fund which offers
assistance to area families in need; provide support to a
local charities; and the Fisher House, which provides
housing facilities for injured soldiers and their family
while they are going through the rehabilitation process.
This is a non-profit organization and not funded by the

Help Beth Ann Cox - GoFund Me
If you know Beth Ann, you know she is one of the most compassionate people. She would give you whatever you needed if she was capable. Unfortunately, life has thrown her multiple curve balls and she is now in the position of needing your help.
Fifteen years ago she became Onehipchic, literally. She went in for a right hip replacement at the age of 35. Avascular necrosis took her upper thigh. The bone died from steroids, which were taken to prevent other illnesses. Unbeknownst to Beth Ann, this was just the beginnings of her becoming the bionic woman. Since then, she has had the left hip replaced and three revisions on her right hip. In addition to the hip surgeries, Beth Ann has had three back surgeries which included adding rods, screws and cadaver bone to her back.
Thirteen years ago Beth Ann was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, also know as Myelodysplasia. It overproduces immature blood cells and does not produce mature cells in the marrow. Basically, it is a rare blood cancer or blood disorder depending with which Doctor you speak.
The culmination of all of these medical complications has made Beth Ann unable to work in many, many years. The medical bills have piled up and are continuing to do so. It is with all this in mind that I have started this campaign for my dearest friend of nearly fifty years.
